Brandon Scott Workshop Recap

Unicorns Do Exist

Last month we had the privilege of having aerialist Brandon Scott visit our studio and teach private workshops for our clients.

If you are an aerialist then you must know who I’m talking about. If you don’t well, you need to drop what you are doing and google him so you can see what Brandon is all about.

Brandon is an amazing acrobat, incredible teacher, cute as a button and can sing like an angel. If you ask me, that’s too much talent for one person, but he is so good at sharing his knowledge and giving all he has, that it makes sense for him to be so talented!

I had the pleasure of meeting Brandon a while back ago while visiting a friend in Phoenix, AZ. As luck would have it, he was in town and teaching workshops at my friend’s Aerial studio. I had been following him for years so I was extremely excited (and scared!) to book a private class.

And of course he didn’t disappoint, his class was so eye-opening. Till this day, I use the lessons learned during that private class every day on my aerial training. The best part about him, is not just how talented and amazing he is to watch, but how gifted he is as a coach, you can tell he loves sharing his passion with the rest of us.

Teaching is a completely different skill and Brandon is superb at it, he is so patient, kind and friendly, and he explains things in a way that they just click. All of these qualities can be rare to find in a performer of his caliber.

When I learned he was going to be in the LA area I immediately reached out to him to see if he would be willing to drive down our studio in Orange County and teach some privates. This is a clear example of “the early bird gets the worm” as he still has availability and he agreed to make the drive.

Some very lucky teachers and students got to take private classes with him, but I think I was the luckiest one because I got to sit and watch him teach for six straight hours. Of course, I also got to take a class myself. He was so wonderful to all of us, and we are so grateful we got to learn from such an incredible and talented aerialist.

Below you will find links to his Instagram feed and his website. In his website, you will find a wonderful blog where he shares all kinds of tips and advice for aerialists around the world!
