Pole Member Profile: Meet Hayley
Do you ever wonder who is taking Pole Fitness classes at Urban Aerial Fitness? You don’t have to look like a Hustler in order to sign up for a class with us. Some of our members are opting for Pole Fitness classes instead of running a couple of miles each morning and we want you to get to know them.
Let us tell you about Hayley and how her journey led her to our pole room in Fountain Valley.
Hayley was born and raised in Garden Grove. She recently moved to Huntington Beach and absolutely loves living so close to the beach.
She works in the medical field and is looking to pursue a career in nursing or as a ultrasound technician. Hayley is also interested in skin care and is toying around with the idea of going to esthetician school, too.
"I found Urban through Instagram and I'm in love with the strength I've gained from coming to class."
Hayley found Urban Aerial Fitness through Instagram, and after scrolling past it for a few months she finally got the courage to sign up for her first class and was hooked! “I love being able to express my sexuality and feel good about being able to express it. Sarah makes you feel super comfortable in class and excited to be open to trying anything.”
Q: What do you like about Pole?
I had assumed a pole class was only tricks and pain, but it’s actually so much more. Learning to climb and spin is so satisfying to me. It makes me feel like I can do this, I am sexy, and being sexy is natural. There’s no reason to be afraid because class is customized to each student’s skill level. We’re all learning at our own pace.
Q: What would you say to someone considering Pole?
Come take intro! Just try one class. The pole seems like a scary thing, but you fall in love with the teachers and your own progress. This studio is super encouraging and you’ll never feel less than. I love the women empowerment happening every day in these classes. I’ve never had a bad experience at this studio.
Do you have anything you'd like to add?
I used to be afraid of what everyone thought of me, which I think we all experience at one stage or another. I am much more confident compared to one year and two years ago. I love recording myself in class to see how much I’ve grown and I’m learning to ignore my fears about what others think and focus on what makes me feel good.
